Cameron Diaz's father dies suddenly
Reports that Cameron Diaz's father died suddenly after a bout of pneumonia have been confirmed by the actress today.
According to US reports, Emilio Diaz, who was 58, recently picked up the flu, which later progressed to pneumonia.
Reports say that he died suddenly despite the fact that he had been in "terrific health" before his recent illness.
Diaz issued a statement saying: "My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family."
"My dad was loved by so many people, and his humour and spirit will always live on in our hearts," she said.
Cameron Diaz is currently working on her new film 'My Sister's Keeper'. Reports suggest that production on this movie has been temporarily shut down.

Spanish pop/rock band La Unión got involved in the local scene in the early '80s. Singer Rafael Sánchez, sea bass histrion Luis BolÃn, guitarist Mario MartÃnez, and keyboardist Iñigo Zabala strike the charts in 1984 with their song "Lobo Hombre en Paris," cathartic Mil Siluetas that same class, produced by Mecano's Nacho Cano and followed by El Maldito Viento in 1985. Three eld later the ring self-generated Vivir Al Este del Eden. Around that same fourth dimension, Iñigo Zabala distinct to forget, turning the band into a three-piece act. While experimenting with its music, La Unión moved to England to work with Mike Howlet, recording Tentación. On October 19, 1991, at La Coruña, the group made the live recording Tren de Largo Recorrido, which compiled the band's best songs. In a new experimental experience, La Unión distinct to make believe a record in the U.S. Psycofunkster Au Lait was produced by Stephan Galfas and issued in 1993.
Rose Kemp Preps Unholy Majesty Album
Rose Kemp's third album will soon be upon us - well, September 1st to be exact - and now the tracklisting has been confirmed by her label, One Little Indian.
The English singer-songwriter and one half of Bristol collective Jeremy Smoking Jacket, has recorded ten songs for 'Unholy Majesty' (as seen below) and will also be arranging tour dates for September to coincide.
Before the two-month wait until the album lands, this week has also spawned a download-only single 'Nanny's World'.
According to the press release, Kemp is influenced by classic Black Metal, Doom and 70's prog, right through to timeless songwriters like Kate Bush and Tom Waits.

Actor Craig Charles is reportedly set to sign a new three-year contract with 'Coronation Street'.
According to Digital Spy, the actor, who plays cab driver Lloyd Mullaney in the soap, confirmed that he is set to stay working on the ITV soap.
Charles said: "I'm delighted. 'Corrie' is a great place to work and there are some fantastic storylines being lined up for me."
"Life is good right now - I'm a very happy man," he said.
